Frequently asked questions
We know buying a simulator can raise a few questions. Let’s cover everything you need to know so you can play with confidence.
How long has Golf Technologies been in business?
Golf Technologies has been operating since 2011 as a registered NZ company (Golf Technologies Limited).
Do you offer personalised advice or product demos?
Yes, we recommend booking a consultation so we can understand your goals and demonstrate options tailored to you.
Is it easy to create my own golf bay simulator as a DIY Project?
Yes, creating your own golf simulator bay can be surprisingly easy, especially with our unique screen mounting system. The assembly process is straightforward and can typically be completed in under four hours. Plus, if you have any questions along the way, we’re always available to help. It’s a great DIY project that doesn’t require advanced technical skills, so you can be up and running enjoying golf from home in no time.
I'm on a limited budget, can I start small and add more later?
Absolutely! You can definitely start small and build up over time. With a flexible setup, you can begin with the essentials and gradually add more features as your budget allows. It’s a smart way to get started without the pressure of a big upfront investment. Plus, we’re always here to guide you through the process as you expand, and can advise on exactly what you need to get started.
Can I customise a package to suit my needs or budget?
We can tailor components, software, accoutrements, and enclosure sizes to your preferences and space.
How long does it take for you to design and install a bespoke bay?
The timeline for designing and installing your bespoke golf simulation bay depends on the details of your setup. Typically, the design phase takes 1-2 weeks. Once that’s all finalised, installation usually wraps up within 4 weeks. We’ll keep in touch throughout the process to coordinate schedules, materials, and any other details, making sure everything fits your space perfectly. Let’s chat and we can take it from there.
How much space do I need for a golf enclosure?
One of the most common questions we get is about space. For a golf enclosure, you’ll need at least 3 meters in width, 3.5 meters in depth, and 3 meters in height. This ensures you have enough room to swing comfortably and accommodate the enclosure. If you can add a bit more space, it’ll make your practice sessions even more enjoyable
What kind of room conditions or modifications should I consider?
Adequate lighting control
Stable flooring and level surface
Space for projector and PC cabling
Wall protection around the hitting area
Is installation included in the package prices?
No, installation is usually quoted separately if you choose that service.
Do you provide technical support after purchase?
Yes, we offer ongoing support for setup, troubleshooting, and software integration.
Do you offer training for staff at commercial facilities?
Yes, we can train operators on how to use the systems effectively for customers.
